In order to build a bridge from the roots Jembatan Akar, residents of West Sumatra, it took 26 years. They just sent the roots of trees growing on opposite banks on a bamboo frame, and everything else is done for them by nature. 30-meter-long bridge connects the two small villages and operated for over 100 years.
