Cave City Kappadokkii (16 photos)






This place is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the territory of modern Turkey. Here there are both underground and surface settlement.

First settlement in the area began to appear in one thousand years before our era. Due to the low hills of soft tufa, quickly Kappadokkiya was settled by people as a habitable place. The absence of forests has made the region the most convenient for "permanent residence." Moreover, during the time of the Hittites are already practiced apartment buildings.
