This highway runs through the Taklamakan desert in China. 552 km long highway, of which 446 km is built in deserted places.
For most of the road surrounded by 20 meter high dunes, for that would not fall asleep completely sand it on both sides of the road were planted rows of plants, and for support the growth of plants created a huge irrigation system to pump water from underground sources.
